Recently, Jigang Yangfan, the first pure LNG fuel powered ship in China’s inland river service ship sector, successfully went on sea trial. The ship carries two Weichai WP10 gas engines and 30kW generator sets, leading the new trend of inland river government vessels with green and low-carbon power.
The ship, which started construction in November last year, is a multifunctional ship that integrates port rescue, command and official reception. Its biggest feature is the use of a single LNG fuel, namely pure liquefied natural gas as a power, compared with the past LNG dual fuel power, lower carbon and more environmental protection.
